Innovative and Creative 3D Printed Projects
As I was surfing for innovative 3D printed models, I came across MODFAN – the 3D printed laptop cooling pad designed by Valentino Les, student of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering from Croatia. MODFAN caught my attention because the 6 fans can be interchangeable and can be folded as well.
In the market, we will either find the bulky cooling fan that we won’t be able to carry along or a portable small fan where it only covers the small area at the bottom of our laptop.
Yes, we can get the laptop fan in retail shop but if you are also a 3D printing fans, you get excited when you are able to design and bring your design to life with 3D printing.
Another project from Valentino is the Six-cylinder engine powered by compressed air – 3rd Entry. Most of the parts are 3D printed except the shaft and metal parts and here how it works. The valve will direct the air towards the cylinders and the shaft will move the actual valve and pistons. When the chamber filled with air, the valve will direct the air and push the cylinders and the connecting rod to the cylinders will move counterweights and all.
