In Today’s Digital World, there are plentiful of 3D Design Software in the market now. Sometimes too many may not be good because for users like us, we will be in dilemma choosing the best software.

There is no single software that is the best because each software will have their strength, weakness, and function to meet different needs and requirement. Taking example from cars, there are many brands and types of cars in the market that suit different needs.

The “Best” software usually determines based on own experience – the user’s journey, be it designing or modifying the models. When you imported file from others and there’s some errors, whether the repairing process and features/methods from the software you are using helps you to solve your problem easily.

We will be sharing with you some of the recommended 3D Design Software from different users for your reference. The ranking is not in sequence.


1. Blender

Blender is a free and powerful open-source 3D computer graphic design software with awesome features, allowing users to create sculpting with variety of different brush types and dynamic topology to add or remove details on the fly. 4. Autodesk Maya

Autodesk Maya, usually shortened to Maya, brands itself as “computer animation software” because it is commonly used by its users for 3D animation, environments, motion graphics, virtual reality, character creating and rendering purposes. Maya renders beautiful clips for animation and generates realistic clumping effects in hair and fur if you are looking for more natural-looking hair.


SOLIDWORKS is a solid modeller, parametric feature-based CAD software. It is widely used for mechanical design modeling, product design, simulation, and assemblies. Designers can optimize their design using the topology study for the ideal geometry to meet the product design requirement such as weight, strength, etc. in industries like aerospace, automotive, marine, electronics, manufacturing and many more.

6. Rhinoceros 3D

Rhinoceros, also known as Rhino or Rhino3D, geometry is based on the NURBS mathematical model, producing mathematically precise representation of curves and freeform surfaces. Rhino produce awesome visuals and beautiful images. You can also document your models with ease using their fast layout, dimensions, and annotation.

7. OpenSCAD

8. Autodesk Tinkercad

Tinkercad is a free, online browser-based 3D design software. This is great for students or anyone who are new to design software. Tinkercad allows users to combine several simple objects into more complex shapes or remove materials into arcs or holes from another objects. You can also add light and movement to your 3D designs with electronics circuits. If you prefer codeblocks, you can design 3D objects using code.

9. Sculptris

Sculptris is a virtual sculpting software with primary focus on the concept of modeling clay. User can pull, push, pinch and twist the virtual clay. Sculptris will constantly analysing the surface as you create to ensure that there are enough triangles to display the details.

10. Cinema 4D
